Oops I forgot to post yesterday, here it the pic anyways. Right beside my work a pop-up carnival came to town. I’m always looking for an opportunities to snap a picture, and this was just one I couldn’t pass up. The clouds were dramatic, it was about to rain so not many people were on the grounds. A Perfect opportunity to snap an over dramatic picture. I attempted to edit the picture in color, but oddly as much as I like colorful pictures, it was to much color. Maybe it was just dumb luck but I really liked the b&w versions mood much better.

This is a perfect B&W photo – more expressive than in color!
I totally agree it’s better to use b&w when color is overly distracting. That was a very hard concept for me to learn.
Wonderful B/W. The sky is quite nice.
Thank you.
I love the motion!
Thanks
One of my favorite themes, going back to when my dad shot every circus, fair and carny that came through town. Nice gradation of tones and just a little lonely, too. Good work.
If he doesn’t mind you should share some, I would love to see some. Believe it or not the circus was in town the same day this carnival was. I guess you can call it poor city planning, but since the carnival was free, that was my first choice. Plus I don’t think I have a fast enough lens yet to get good pictures at the circus.
